What: Create Your Aidentity Luncheon, celebrating the opening of the new boutique and toasting the Texas Contemporary Art Fair

Where: Akris in River Oaks District

Who: Peter Herink, CEO of Akris Americas and Marcie Haley, VP of marketing, both in from NY, along with boutique manager Jessica Bustillos; Fair founder Max Fischko, in from NY; stylish guests Becca Cason ThrashBarbara Davis, Carol Isaak Barden, Gracie Cavnar, Janet Gurwitch, Jo Furr, Susanne Pritchard, Nielo Chow, Bridget Wade, Jo Lynn Falgout and daughter Christine Falgout, Lucinda LoyaLindley Arnoldy, Cristina Toral, Lourdes Gallego, and Maxine Skopp.

PC Moment: Fresh off of Akris’s first time showing at New York Fashion Week — the vaunted Swiss brand typically shows in Paris, but creative director Albert Kreimler was honored at The Couture Council Awards, so the brand showed SS17 in New York for the first time to celebrate — Akris’ Herink and Haley welcomed some of Houston’s most stylish and art-minded ladies to the breathtaking new boutique in Houston for a sophisticated and intimate luncheon.

Guests played with the beautiful customization options for the clever Ai tricolor trapezoid bag and shopped away, as a percentage of sales benefitted the Texas Contemporary Art Fair’s beneficiary Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (Fischko proudly announced they have already donated in the six figures to the CAMH to date). Guests received exquisite chocolates in the shape of an Ai bag — almost too pretty to eat — and coveted VIP passes to the Fair, as PaperCity served once again as media sponsor for the Fair, as well as this lovely luncheon.
