Ready for a sugar rush? The Sweet Tooth Hotel, an Instagram-friendly art pop-up, officially opened today (Friday, May 18) in Victory Park. The installation, which includes five psychedelic, candy-coated rooms, is on view through June 30th.

If you like immersive, playful artwork – like Yayoi Kusama’s pumpkins at the DMA – you’ll love this fun concept from husband and wife team, Jencey and Cole Keeton. The five-room, 1,200-square-foot “hotel” was executed by design and fabrication shop Built By Bender. Each surreal room is inspired by a different popular treat and includes a selection of artwork. Expect cotton candy clouds, giant macarons and the strangest walk-in fridge you’ve ever seen… See the gallery above for a sneak peek.

To accompany the experiential art installation, the Sweet Tooth Hotel also has The Gift Shoppe. The colorful retail space is powered by Leatherology and features a curated selection of goods from brands like Kendra Scott, Hairstory, Read Between the Lines, Valfré and JOY Macarons. Also on display in the shop is a variety of work by local artists, including Jeremy Biggers, Shamsy Roomiani, Jojo Chuang, Chelsea Delzell and Rob Wilson.

Leatherology actually called upon a few of the artists to create an exclusive collaboration for the pop-up shop. Some of the leather accessories brand’s most popular items – including its backpack, camera bag and pouches – have been given an artsy makeover by Wilson, Biggers, Chuang and Roomiani. Each artist hand-painted the leather goods with unique designs. The items range in price from $250 to $750. Personally, I am coveting the sassy-mouthed camera bag by Jeremy Biggers.

Tickets to the Sweet Tooth Hotel start at $20 and are available online. The event is already proving to be popular – tickets are sold out through the weekend – so you may want to grab some now. Considering how popular similar projects have been (like the Museum of Ice Cream or Refinery 29’s 29Rooms), this Dallas hotel is soon set to have no vacancy.
