In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Batman, a Mural Arts Series was launched by DC comics in four cities this summer. Dallas is the only one that has not debuted yet. In fact, there’s still question as to who is going to paint it and where it’s going to be.

Seattle kicked off the series last month with a 10-foot mural of Batman by local street artist Joey Nix. Then another popped up in Bentonville, Arkansas by Octavio Logo.

Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California even got a painting based on the The Animated Series by the studio’s own Kat Sanders. Her mural is 14 feet tall and took over 50 hours to complete.

Last, but not least on the four city tour is Dallas so keep your eyes peeled for The Bat. Fans are encouraged to pose with the murals and share on social media with the hashtag #LongLiveTheBat.

Also a part of the year long celebration is an event at the future site of the yet-to-open Comic-Con Museum in San Diego’s Balboa Park. On July 17, there will be a special evening dedicated to Batman called The Gathering. Then on July 18 through July 21, Comic Con will host The Batman Experience with an interactive pop-up.

And surprisingly, on September 21, the world will celebrate Batman Day.
