For a true Dallas Valentine’s Day, dinner, movies and roses can get monotonous. This V-Day, treat your date to something completely unexpected. Dallas is full of unconventional date spots and activities.

Here are eight Valentine’s Day date ideas to shake things up — and maybe even introduce you (or your sweetheart) to a new option in the city.

Axe Tossing — Who Needs Arrows?

The axe throwing fad has hit Dallas, and on this February 14, you can book a date night for you and your significant other to hurl some axes across the room at Class Axe. The Richardson location gives you and hour and a half with a 1.5 pound axe.

For $32 a person, you’ll learn, practice and then compete to unveil who is the hottest lumberjack.

Valentine’s Day Chills (and Scares)

Dark Hour, Plano’s premier haunted house, is having a special Valentine’s Day apocalyptic experience called Fever. From February 14 through 16, you can enter the virus-ridden adventure. Once you’re infected, you’ll navigate the violent landscape filled with fellow biters to see if a cure can be found. Enter if you dare for $30 per person.
