Famed Chef To Leave a Top Dallas Restaurant

Who Will Step Into This Vaunted Kitchen?

BY // 10.16.15

Bye, bye Bruno: The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek has announced that Mansion Restaurant executive chef Bruno Davaillon will leave his post at the Dallas landmark at the end of November. The French culinary mastermind earned a Michelin star in 2008 and 2009 as executive chef at Alain Ducasse‘s acclaimed Mix restaurant in Las Vegas; during his tenure as chef du cuisine at the St. Regis Los Angeles, he launched Encore, which Esquire named one of its 10 Best New Restaurants that year.

Officials at the restaurant have not released any information about Davaillon’s replacement, but one can only hope it will be another charming Frenchman. Perhaps Rosewood could wrangle Christopher Hache from its storied Hôtel de Crillon. Davaillon and Hache spent a week this past summer in the Mansion’s kitchen for a series of exclusive dinners, and we all but fell in love.
