Montrose Burger Restaurant Starts a Brunch That’s a Bargain Rarity in Houston: It’s a Foodie Game Changer

The Burger Joint is swooping in with the antidote to your next case of the Mondays: The Montrose burger haven is abandoning the Sunday brunch model for an unconventional weekday option — that’s right, Monday brunch, a rarity in Houston. (Max’s Wine Dive puts on a good one, so check them out if you haven’t already.)

While mouthwatering burgers, massive hot dogs and more than 40 varieties of beer usually take center stage, the Burger Joint’s brunch menu focuses on more breakfast-centric options (though a brunch burger wouldn’t hurt).

Look for French toast topped with a berry compote, candied walnuts and Steen’s cane syrup, served with bacon; a twist on an eggs Benedict served on buttered buns with Black Hill Ranch pork sausage, Texas ham, poached eggs and black pepper hollandaise; chicken fried chicken smothered in sausage gravy and served with a fried egg and cheddar biscuit; and the fiesta scramble, a mix of eggs, grilled chicken, caramelized onions, salsa verde, queso fresco, avocado and tortilla chips.

The menu price tag is also an added bonus, with no dish exceeding $12.50.

Considering brunch isn’t truly complete without a bevy of cocktails, the Burger Joint is also serving mimosas ($6 glass/ $16 pitcher), house-made Michelada ($6) and an array of beer options, including St. Arnold Santo, Dos XX Lager, Ballast Point Longfin Lager and Pedernales Robert Earl Keen Honey.

The Burger Joint’s Monday brunch launches today, and will continue every Monday from 11 am to 4 pm.
