Dallas Dynamos Look to Break World Kissing Record in the Ultimate Mistletoe Moment: The Guinness Book Awaits

Trevor Godkin, Stella Wrubel, Quinn Graves, and Isabella Dickason are returning to Highland Park Village with their Jingle Bell Mistletoe.

Twelve-year-old Stella Wrubel and her mistletoe gang are celebrating six years of giving back, donating proceeds from their festive venture to the North Texas Food Bank.

Kiss Hunger Goodbye looks to break a world record.

When we heard from our favorite temptress of the turntables, DJ Lucy Wrubel, that her effervescent daughter, Stella Wrubel, was working on breaking a world record and all for a great cause, we said: “We’re in!” She, along with fellow do-gooders: Quinn Graves, Isabella Dickason and Trevor Godkin (all 13-year-olds on a mission to help people in need) created Jingle Bell Mistletoe (JBM) in 2012 which has raised more than $168,000 for charity.

Most of this money has been used to feed more than 472,000 hungry North Texans – simply from the efforts of four kids selling mistletoe at community stands during the holidays.

This year, reps from The Guinness Book of World Records will be in Dallas this Sunday, December 2 (from 1 to 3pm) as Jingle Bell Mistletoe shoots to break the world record for the number of couples kissing under mistletoe. With anticipated participation of 1,000 couples (or 2,000 individuals), the event, hosted by Klyde Warren Park, is $25 a couple and open to the public. The $25 gets your personal Jingle Bell Mistletoe with all proceeds going back to North Texas Food Bank.

Stella Wrubel shared, “By doing this, we want to bring more awareness to the issue of hunger in America, and we really hope to inspire more kids to do the same. We’d love to see mistletoe stands all across the country next year. Think of it like the winter version of a lemonade stand.”
