Custom-made by BMW Individual, the German automaker’s introduction of an exclusive centenary edition V12 7 Series sedan in honor of its 100th anniversary comes, as one would expect, equipped with every single luxury amenity under the sun. But don’t let its verbose nameplate — “BMW Individual M760i xDrive Model V12 Excellence The Next 100 Years” — fool you. As they say, the devil is in the details.

First and foremost is the gorgeous fountain pen designed in collaboration with Montblanc. Resplendent in the same “Centennial Blue Metallic” as the car, just 100 examples of the pen will be made, and given to the 100 “The Next 100 Years” 7 Series owners — of which only five examples will arrive on U.S. shores. The rhodium-plated gold nib bears an engraving of the unique backstitching found on the BMW Individual Merino leather seats.

As for the car itself, the celebratory edition boasts a bevy of glamorous additions that make this 7 Series a most conspicuous addition to the neighborhood: two-tone 20-inch light-alloy wheels rendered in a Silver and Ferric Grey combo, handcrafted signets on its B-pillars and an interior awash in a Smoke White Full Merino leather — quilted and trimmed with hand-woven piping — with matching Smoke White Alcantara headliner, floor coverings and custom mats, and Piano Black trim. While the dash carries its own 100 Years emblem logo, the center console is inscribed with the car’s build number.

What about power, you ask? That comes courtesy of the recently announced M760i xDrive performance model, equipped with a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 driving 610 horsepower to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Good for a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds, this septet also comes equipped with full air suspension with Dynamic Damper Control and every single available BMW driver assist/safety technology.

Price: to be announced, but if you must ask, your garage is probably not worthy.
