This summer marks a mighty milestone for the space program. This year will be the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s landing on the moon, and Space City will be celebrating big time. To commemorate the historic feat, Discovery Green will be hosting a party with a paratrooper landing by the US Army Golden Knights, exhibitions from the Johnson Space Center and Lone Star Flight Museum, commentary by Douglas Brinkley of American Moonshot, a screening of Apollo 11, the park’s artisan/collectible market, and more!
