City of Houston’s 17th Annual “Houston Salutes American Heroes” Veterans Day Celebration

What

Mayor Sylvester Turner and the City of Houston will honor the Armed Forces at the 17th annual “Houston Salutes American Heroes” Veterans Day parade and celebration on Friday, November 11, 2016.

The event will begin at 9 am with the AT&T Veterans Job & Resource Fair and US Family Health Plan Veterans Health Fair.

The ceremony will be held on the steps of City Hall at 10 am, ending with a Moment of Silence in memory of the WWI signing of the Armistice.

The American Heroes Parade, will start at 11:30 am at the corner of Dallas and Bagby.

Hundreds of veterans’ organizations, military personnel and vehicles, historic associations, universities and schools will participate in the parade.
