For this one exceptional night, FotoFest is excited to present a curated selection of museum-quality fine prints, invigorating our understanding of contemporary photography.
FotoFest organizes this live benefit auction as its principal fundraiser only once every two years. By invitation only from FotoFest Executive Director, artists who have participated in our Biennials, exhibitions, and other programs, are asked to make a donation of their artwork. Some of these artists are included in the African Cosmologies: Redux and If I Had a Hammer 2022 Biennial central exhibitions.
We take pride in ensuring only the best quality of work is showcased by thoughtfully selecting each artist and print and giving special attention to skill and cultural impact. With this measure of artistic integrity, FotoFest takes the reins on presenting leading artists that hail from major international centers of artistic production, enabling collectors to acquire some of the most outstanding artwork that FotoFest has supported.
Auction revenues from print sales and table sponsorships go directly to support FotoFest exhibitions, public programming, professional development programs for artists, as well as the Literacy Through Photography learning program, serving thousands of Houston-area students every year.
