“You can’t stop the beat in Hairspray! a big and bold musical about one girl’s inspiring dream to dance. It’s out with the 50s and in with the 60s in Baltimore as we follow the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad in her quest to dance on the popular “Corny Collins Show.” When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob, Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network… all without denting her ‘do!

Hairspray the musical, winner of eight Tony Awards—including Best Musical—is a family-friendly musical (Rated PG), piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance and deliriously tuneful songs. At its core, this musical is a story about acceptance and inclusion (and rejection and exclusion) during the early days of the civil rights movement.”

ALL patrons, regardless of age, require a ticket and individual seat.

We strongly recommend children under 5 years old do not attend due to the content and length of show.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

As per HISD guidelines, spectator capacity is limited to 50 percent and socially distanced (4 seats max located together).

Masks are required for attendees at all times.

Tickets

Ticket prices range from $15-$25. Check ticket website for specific show times. Friday/Saturday evening performances start at 7:00 pm. Sunday matinee starts at 2 pm.
