Lawndale’s Fall Exhibition Opening

All are invited to join the Lawndale Art Center at its Fall Exhibition Opening. The exhibition will include work from Michael Menchaca’s The Codex Silex Vallis, which features site-specific wallpaper that seeks to visualize how the growing tech industry is infiltrating traditional Latino family customs in the U.S. The exhibition will also include Saul Hernandez-Vargas’ first solo exhibition in Houston “Plates,” a series comprised of three large-scale floor pieces created from Oaxaca mud that explores archive, past, territory, fragment, and ruin.
