The Amon Carter Museum of American Art is proud to present the exhibition Looking In: Photography from the Outside. Drawn from the Carter’s collection, the show exhibits photographs taken by artists whose personal backgrounds are different from the subjects being documented, thereby illustrating the artsits’ roles as “outsiders.” Featured artists include Richard Avedon, Morris Engel, Laura Gilpin, Dorothea Lange, Danny Lyon, and Paul Strand.
