What
Nature—Refuge brings together photography by Isabelle Perreau and ceramic works by Carol Berger in a contemplative exhibition that celebrates nature as both sanctuary and call to action. On view at Archway Gallery from March 7 to April 2, 2026, the show invites viewers to slow down and rediscover the quiet beauty of the natural world—its textures, light, seasons, and rhythms, at a time of ecological urgency and global uncertainty. Perreau’s evocative photographs and Berger’s environmentally inspired ceramics remind us that while nature offers healing and solace, it also demands care and responsibility. Together, their works encourage reconnection: with ourselves, with one another, and with the planet that sustains us. Nature—Refuge is part of FotoFest 2026 and the French Cultures Festival, and partners with the nonprofit Plant It Forward, with gallery tip-jar proceeds supporting refugee-led, sustainable urban farming in Houston. Meet the artists on March 7 at the opening reception from 5-8 p.m. with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m. Valet parking and light refreshments available.
