What
Network of Community Ministries (Network) is celebrating 40 years of service with the annual event known as Fork-Off to Fight Hunger. Fork-Off is moving to bigger digs this year and will take place on Saturday, April 18th from 6 pm until 10 pm at University of Texas at Dallas Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center. Event planners promise an evening full of great samplings from upscale local restaurants, interactive activities, a silent and live auction, music and dancing. Honorary co-chairs for the event are Richardson luminaries, Mauri and Bryan Marsh.
40 years is considered a ruby anniversary, so guests are encouraged to think ruby red in dress or accessories to add fun to what is annually a festive celebration.
As part of RISD zip codes, Network’s services include all of Richardson and Lake Highlands as well as sections of North Dallas, Plano and Garland. Network’s offerings to help neighbors in need include basic needs assistance, an on-site food pantry and mobile food distribution, seniors’ programs, stabilization programs and critical mental health services.
Proceeds from Fork-Off will help to enable Network to continue and expand its support of the community.
