What

The Ucross Gala & Benefit is coming back to Houston on November 6. Toast the Texan roots of the acclaimed artist residency program, and present Corbin J. Robertson with the Raymond Plank Award for Visionary Leadership.

This special evening honors the legacy of the late Ucross Founder Raymond Plank with a celebration of his nonprofit’s artists and Houston partners, as well as recognize Mr. Robertson for his innovative leadership, contributions to the energy sector, and philanthropic impact that traces back decades.

Held at POST Houston, the historic downtown post office, the Ucross Gala & Benefit will include a dance performance by Ucross Fellow Jack Wolff of the Houston Ballet, alongside Aoi Fujiwara and Eric Best; live painting by Ucross Fellow Don Stinson of Austin, Texas, and more performances featuring former artists-in-residence. The festivities will also feature an artful dinner and a live auction, which will provide excellent opportunities to bid on exciting travel packages, experiences, and artwork.

Ucross is an internationally acclaimed artist residency program located on a 20,000-acre ranch. After time and space at Ucross, Fellows have gone on to win Academy Awards, Pulitzer Prizes, National Book Awards, Tony Awards, and more. Ucross is honored to count many Texan visual artists, writers, composers, and choreographers among our alumni.
