Join the Texas State Chapter of the Philanthropic Education Organization (P.E.O.) Sisterhood at its 88th convention in honor of the Sesquicentennial Celebration. This year’s theme Going Ahead on the Part of All Women was selected by Belinda Hargrove, president of Texas State Chapter. Sue Baker, president of P.E.O Sisterhood’s International Chapter, will serve as the keynote speaker and further expand on the theme. A highlight of the convention will be the Projects Program, a moment when projects recipients describe the impact P.E.O. had on them and their family. On display throughout the convention will be original artifacts dating back to the beginnings of P.E.O in Texas in 1903.
P.E.O. Sisterhood is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
Exhibits will be open to the public on Friday, April 26 from 10:00am-5:00pm, and on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00am-12:00pm.
