If you’re not already following Dallas-based florist Kathleen Hill on Instagram, do so immediately. Mounds of colorful blooms appear in one photo after the other, all handcrafted by Hill for her business, Leeny’s Flowers, (after her childhood nickname — how cute!). From baby showers to weddings to simple gestures of kindness, Hill designs arrangements for every occasion … and looks amazing while doing so. Read on to discover what’s in the blonde beauty’s makeup bag, the skincare products she can’t live without, and what she considers her secret weapon.

What is your skincare regimen?
I wash my face when I wake up in the morning, and again before I go to bed. I am very diligent about moisturizing my skin because I have fairly bad eczema. I have tried all sorts of moisturizers, but I keep coming back to the Cetaphil cream. I use a tub of it every two weeks! I slather it on my face and my whole body. During the day, I always protect my skin with sunscreen. My mother has the most beautiful skin and is religious about protecting her face, so I try to follow her example. At night, I use La Prairie eye cream around my eyes, and Aquaphor for my lips.

Morning ritual.
In the morning, I wash my face with Cetaphil cleanser, and then I apply Renée Rouleau Moisture Infusion Toner. Next, I use Renée Rouleau Vitamin C&E Treatment before applying Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. I top it off with SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50.

Makeup look you prefer on a day-to-day basis.
I stick to the basics day-to-day because I usually have to go to the flower market early in the morning to get the best blooms for my floral business. I begin with Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for a nice glow, touch up under-eye circles and imperfections with Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer, and top it all off with La Prairie Cellular Treatment Loose Powder in No. 1. It’s a super lightweight powder that adds a nice finish to the foundation. Next, I apply Nars Blush in Orgasm. To finish off my face, I dust Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Bronze 03 in the shape of a “3” so it traces from my forehead, to my cheek, to just under my chin. It adds a subtle sculpting to my face. Finally, I finish with one coat of Xtreme Lashes Mascara, which I usually apply in the car right before I run into the market. If I think of it, then I swipe Chanel lip gloss across my lips. I love their shimmery shades.

Evening look.
In the evening, I never leave the house without eye makeup. I do my day-to-day face routine, then I use Le Métier de Beauté Naked eye shadow all over the lid, Nars Alhambra just on the lower lid, and MAC Sable in the crease. Then, I use a liner brush to apply a smudged line of Le Métier de Beauté in Fig. I finish the eyes with a swipe of Xtreme Lashes Mascara, and then I use my MAC eyebrow pencil (in Lingering) to fill in and define my brows. I always make time for lipstick at night, even if I have to apply it in the car along with my mascara.

Secret weapon.
Eyelash extensions. I swear, when everything else fails, these will look good. They make my eyes pop and I don’t have to use as much eye makeup. I get them done at Lash Lovers on Lovers Lane. They are worth every penny.

Most recent beauty discovery.
Nouba Lipstick from Stanley Korshak. This is the longest-lasting lipstick I have ever used, and it doesn’t dry out my lips, which has been a problem with so many others. I highly recommend these lipsticks.

Signature fragrance.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Diet.
In the mornings, I love to eat avocado toast with red pepper flakes and scrambled eggs. It keeps me going until lunch, when I typically eat a salad or sandwich in between flower deliveries. If I have a snack, I try to choose something with protein like Greek yogurt or string cheese. For dinner, I like a big variety of foods and I do not neglect my cravings, but I do adapt recipes so they are healthier. For example, if I want spaghetti Bolognese, then I will use spaghetti squash instead of noodles. However, I’m not always so healthy … You might spot me downing the ice cream sundae at R+D Kitchen. All things in moderation, right?

Fitness.
My fitness routine varies from week to week, but it always contains these activities: classes at The Pilates Barre called the Tread Barre, and Flywheel; tennis; and walks with my dog, Zoe.

What else keeps you looking gorgeous?
Doing what I love and being surrounded by the people I love. When you love your family, friends and work, you can’t help but glow. Happiness creates beauty!
