Taylor Tomasi Hill Out at Forty Five Ten — Another Luxury Retailer Brought In: Major Changes at Headington Companies as the Bold Moves Continue

BY // 02.20.18

The changes keep coming at Headington Companies. On the heels of the recent announcement that Forty Five Ten would open its sixth location at New York City’s mixed-use Hudson Yards development, Headington Companies revealed yesterday that it has acquired luxury boutique, Tenoversix.

Tenoversix first opened in Los Angeles as a concept store carrying emerging designers in fashion, design, art, and periodicals, before debuting its first store outside Los Angeles at The Joule hotel in 2012. Later this month, Tenoversix is set to open a new flagship store in Miami.

The acquisition comes with its share of other big moves: Fashion starlet Taylor Tomasi Hill, who made headlines when she assumed the role as Forty Five Ten vice president, creative and fashion director in 2016, is no longer affiliated with the company.

No word yet as to what will happen to Forty Five Ten’s Highland Park Village store, which is branded TTH for Taylor’s initials, though a PR representative for Headington Companies tells us that the TTH brand will also no longer be affiliated with Forty Five Ten.

In Hill’s place, Tenoversix co-founder Kristen Cole has been named president and chief creative officer for Forty Five Ten and Tenoversix, an appointment that signals a consolidation of Headington Companies’ retail expansion efforts and further highlights its vision to launch boutique retail concepts in multiple markets outside Texas.

Kristen and her husband, Joe Cole, have fostered a close working relationship with Headington Companies, since their foray into Dallas six years ago. Joe has worked as a creative consultant-at-large for the company, advising on everything from retail to restaurants, design, branding, and programming. For now, his at-large role is said to remain in tact.
