A True Women’s Store Proves Female Empowerment is Stylish: New Fort Worth Sanctuary Takes a Tribe

Tribe Alive began as an online retailer and has grown and evolved to opening its first freestanding boutique in Fort Worth. The company has an emphasis on sustainability – journals made from recycled cotton, clothing made from chemical-free dyes, and so on.

However, hidden beneath the mounds of marigold and sea foam green lives a message of female empowerment.

The brand gives women artisans from Haiti, Honduras, India, Guatemala, and now, Fort Worth, a safe working environment, as well as the motivation and tools to create a better future for themselves. From well-crafted bags, to rompers and jumpsuits, these products have a deeper meaning than just their pretty looks.

Now, the eco-friendly takeover is expanding to Texas. The front section of the Fort Worth store will be a space where shoppers can browse products and current designs.

The store intends to cultivate a community by turning the back half of the space into a design studio that allows customers to observe how the Tribe Alive team runs, from the design process, to the communication with the craftswomen.

Better yet, the store will host events such as yoga classes, watercolor demonstrations, and succulent arranging, creating a women’s only agora and relaxation sanctuary. Shopping never hurt, either.
