Dallas’ Top 5 Airbnb Rentals: The Stunning Homes Travelers Lust After (and Book Again and Again)

BY Emily Ward // 03.22.17

In under a decade, Airbnb has transformed the once taboo idea of staying in a complete stranger’s home into a preferred method of travel. Vacationers are no longer satisfied with the average cookie-cutter hotel stay — and why should they be when Airbnb rentals offer the chance to experience a city like a local in a unique home?

Dallas is never one to shy away from real estate trends, and with more than 1,400 Dallas listings on the popular vacation rental site, that’s certainly the case here. Travelers have seemingly endless options when it comes to how they want to experience the city. And how much they want to pay for it.

The Dallas vacation rental market is competitive and we’ve scoured the Airnib listings for the top five Dallas home listings at five different distinct price points.

1). The Art Gallery Getaway

This Dallas rental home offers easy access to art — and a great dive bar.

Price: $97 per night

Guests Allowed: Two

Space: The entire home

Neighborhood: The Cedars

Best Features: This cozy and contemporary cabin of refurbished wood is located directly behind an art gallery and has been saved by more than 1,700 people on Airbnb. Although certified for easy business travel and as a Superhost, this cabin’s biggest perks come from its littlest details — such as the charming claw foot tub and outdoor deck.

Its double-digit price makes it a pretty rare find, but if you find yourself lucky enough to be booked here, be sure to stop into dive bar Lee Harvey’s across the street for a burger and beer.

Recent Review: “Close the door and you are transported to a lovely cabin in the woods. Open it and the beating heart of Dallas is at your fingertips.” (January 2017)

2). The Swanky Suite

This swanky suite is one of Dallas’ most lusted after (and highly rated) Airbnb rentals.

Price: $147 per night | Weekend Price: $116 per night

Guests Allowed: Four

Space: The entire home

Neighborhood: Oak Lawn

Best Features: AirDNA (the Google Analytics of Airbnb) ranks the best rentals based on ratings, reviews and response rates to better differentiate properties since four out of five Airbnbs are ranked 4.5 stars or better. Currently tied for first in Dallas on AirDNA, with a score of 92 out of 100, is this light and airy second-story Oak Lawn home.

It has reached both Superhost and essential business travel status thanks to conveniences like Instant Book, a mere one night minimum stay and no charge for extra people. This suite’s five star ratings across the board from 86 reviews and counting probably don’t lie.

Recent Review: “Top notch: clean, quiet, easy parking, super responsive owner. Great experience all around.” (February 2017)

3). The Historic House

This historic house is one of Dallas’ top rentals.

Price: $199 per night | Weekend Price: $249 per night

Guests Allowed: Six

Combine those aspects with free and spacious off-street parking and no extra charge for additional guests and you get 60 stellar reviews contributing to another home with five star ratings all around.

4). The Resort-Like Retreat

This rental offers something of a resort retreat in the heart of Dallas.

Price: $1,500 per night | Weekend Price: $1,800 per night

Guests Allowed: Eight

Space: The entire home

Neighborhood: Park Cities

Best Features: If you’re feeling frivolous, why not treat yourself to this luxurious destination in its own right? Yes, a Superhost lists it, but this gated retreat’s big sellers come from its chef’s kitchen — complete with all Wolf to Sub-Zero bells and whistles — and outdoor pizza oven perfect for entertaining.

Speaking of parties, separate pricing is available if you wish to just rent for the day or evening to host your next event. But why miss out spending the night here? Have seven friends chip in and you can all get some much-needed R&R in one of Dallas’ nicest neighborhoods.

Who doesn’t want to live on their own estate in Dallas?

Price: $2,700 per night | Weekend Price: $2,950 per night
