Brunching is a common hobby in Dallas, and it’s no wonder why. Not quite breakfast, not quite lunch, the beloved hybrid meal is better than both.

Fluffy pancakes, savory benedicts, and craft coffee are the cornerstones of brunch, but the possibilities are as infinite as the mimosas. The Mansion does brunch Texan-style, while La Duni gives the meal a Latin spin, and two restaurants break all the rules by serving brunch seven days a week.

The Mansion Restaurant at the Rosewood Mansion

The Mansion Restaurant at the swanky Rosewood Mansion hotel in Uptown is the perfect spot for high-power brunching. Its elegant atmosphere and “practically endless” mimosas and Bloody Marys are suitable for romance, business, or special occasions. The menu puts a Texas spin on classic brunch items, like smoked brisket benedict or the raisin pecan french toast.

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. If the weather’s nice enough, try to snag a seat on the scenic terrace.

Oddfellows

Oddfellows does not take reservations during weekend brunch, and there is almost always a considerable wait. Our advice? Pre-game your visit with a snack and get in line. The brunch crowd flocks to Oddfellows for good reason: both the coffee and the food are excellent and the atmosphere is super cute.

Oddfellows is especially great for coffee snobs, who will love choosing between three craft brewing methods. Brunch is served everyday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

La Duni

La Duni serves flavorful Latin brunch items like the Brunch Chile Relleno with roasted Poblano pepper, scrambled eggs, bacon and queso fresco, and Huevos Gauchos with Argentinian sausage. If we’re being honest though, the best part of the meal is the sweet ending.

Ordering one of the rich cakes or flaky pastries is a must. Try the Cuatro Leches cake, covered in bruleed Swiss meringue and served with Arequipe caramel. The restaurant has a location in Uptown and in NorthPark Center. Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sixty vines

When you step into Sixty Vines, you might forget that you’re in a strip mall in Plano. The bright, impeccably designed restaurant feels like it belongs in a chic vineyard in Napa. Get a table in the greenhouse if you can; it’s a bit quieter and more intimate than the main dining room.

The restaurant has a unique take on brunch, upgrading classic dishes with sophisticated ingredients. Order the T.A.B.L.E. Breakfast Sandwich with tomato, avocado, brie, lettuce and egg.

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays only.

Ellen’s southern kitchen

This restaurant’s motto is “IT’S BRUNCH O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE.” And it is, in fact, Brunch O’Clock all day, everyday at Ellen’s. The unorthodox restaurant actually doesn’t serve any other meals. Since they’re entirely focused on brunch, they’ve gotten pretty good at it.

The menu offers all of the traditional breakfast and brunch staples and then some. Ellen’s is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays.
