Who Makes Dallas’ Best Pizza? Vote to Decide the Big Pie Winner (and Take Home $250 in Free Pizza)

10 Championship Contenders Square Off

BY // 04.28.19

Sure Italy is known for its pizza. And yes, New York City and Chicago routinely battle for whose pizza is best. But why travel when you can keep the pizza love (and debate) at home?

Dallas is no stranger to great pizza.

Finding good pizza in Dallas might not be particularly difficult, but deciding who makes the absolute best pizza in North Texas is much tougher.

But it’s time for you to decide. Cast your vote now for the Best Pizza in Dallas in PaperCity‘s newest poll. The winning restaurant will walk away with the ultimate bragging rights and one lucky voter will be selected to win a $250 gift card from the pizza champion. That will buy you a lot of pies.

You can vote once per day — and the more times you vote, the more chances you have to win. Here are the 10 contenders:

Cane Rosso

If you like fresh, in-house made dough (using Italian imported flour, might I add) Cane Rosso will get you dancing. If you’re feeling a little edgy, get the Honey Bastard, made with house-made mozzarella, hot Soppressata, bacon marmalade and habanero honey.

Greenville Avenue Pizza Company

Calling all thin-crust fanatics: this East Dallas pizza place is a thin-crust must-try. Their signature pies are inventive and undeniably delicious.

Fireside Pies

The wood-oven pizza pies rule here. If you like your pizza dough extra bready, you’ll dig Fireside Pies as you dig in and dip that doughy goodness into sauce or olive oil.

Perfect Union Pizza Co.

In a land where red pizzas dominate, Perfect Union Pizza Co. shows that white pizza can put up a fight. Keep it pure and order A Purist, with tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and red sorrel.

Eno’s

At Eno’s you’ll find the pizza cooked super thin and cut into squares. Try the Meatball and the Goat pie, crafted with fresh basil, goat cheese, sliced Texas beef and Boar Texas meatball.

Campisi’s

This iconic Dallas restaurant knows what it’s doing. How can it not when it’s been dishing out serious Italian eats since 1946? This family-run place is an institution for a reason.

Zoli’s

Enjoy round or square pies, like the Christian Pescroni with mozzarella, tomato sauce, double ezzo pepperoni and jalapeño pesto. And though they’re not technically pizzas, we would be remiss not to mention the garlic knots.

Grimaldi’s

OK, so this coal brick-oven pizzeria isn’t technically from Texas, but we had to put it on the list. It’s that worthy.

Pie Tap Pizza Workshop + Bar

Pie Tap Pizza Workshop + Bar takes its pizza seriously, and takes serious pride in its pizza. Take their dough, for instance, which is naturally leavened in a process that takes a whopping 96 hours.

Olivella’s

Olivella’s swears by its century-old Italian-root recipes as key to its success. The Black Truffle with house-made mozzarellas, speck, mushrooms, truffle oil and black pepper speaks for itself.

This poll has now ended – the winner of PaperCity‘s Best Pizza Challenge is Grimaldi’s.

Congratulations to Rick Butler for scoring a $250 gift card to the winning restaurant.
