Beloved Brazilian steakhouse, Fogo de Chão has relocated its global headquarters to Legacy West in Plano, and will open a flagship restaurant at the development on Monday, March 26. The 40-year-old brand currently has 52 locations throughout the United States, Brazil, Mexico, and the Middle East. The Legacy West restaurant will be its third location in the DFW area.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the opening of our flagship restaurant in Legacy West,” Fogo de Chão CEO Larry Johnson said in a statement. “While remaining true to our authentic Brazilian roots, this new location will be the launching pad for innovation as the Fogo brand continues to grow for years to come.”

The headquarters in Legacy West will include a state-of-the-art test kitchen and bar, where the brand can focus on developing new ideas for its restaurant across the globe. The Legacy West restaurant will also offer an array of new dishes and experiences, including Fogo de Chão’s first Churrasco Bar, which offers open-kitchen seating at the grill.

Fogo de Chão Legacy West’s culinary team of Brazilian-trained gaucho chefs will be led by Head Gaucho Marcos Nascimento, a Brazilian chef who first learned the gaucho style of cooking from his father at age 14.

The menu is centered around a variety of fire-roasted meats, including ribeye, lamb chops, and Picanha, the most prized Brazilian steak. All of the meats are butchered in-house, roasted over an open fire, and carved tableside.

Diners can choose from menu selections like The Full Churrasco Experience (the traditional menu with all premium and classic cuts, plus the market table and Feijoada bar, which includes seasonal salads and vegetables, and authentic Brazilian side dishes), or The Dry Aged Experience, which offers premium cuts of dry-aged meat, aged in-house for a minimum of 45 days. There will also be Brazilian brunch offered on the weekend, small plates available at Bar Fogo, and weekday lunch specials.

Fogo de Chão will open March 26 at 5908 Headquarters Drive in Plano. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner, weekend brunch, and weekday happy hour.
