North Texas’ Highly-Anticipated Foodie Wonderland Opens With Restaurants Galore — and Long Hours: It’s a Food Hall, Only More Intense

BY // 12.11.17

If Legacy West wasn’t already a dining destination in North Texas, this ought to do it. Plano’s long-awaited food hall dubbed Legacy Hall is finally open, bringing 22 restaurants and bars under one roof.

The 55,000-square-foot, three-story foodie wonderland is inspired by European food halls, but its restaurant offerings will be familiar to Dallas area diners.

All of the food stands in the hall established a presence in Dallas, either via brick-and-mortar locations or food trucks, prior to the opening of Legacy Hall. You’ll find an outpost of John Tesar’s Knife Burger, Freshfin Poke Co., Berrynaked popsicles, Enter the Bao, Bravazo Rotisserie and more.

However, the eight bars located inside the food hall are all new concepts. There’s Bar Main, a big, one-stop-shop for cocktails, beer, and wine on the first level; Détour, a wine and charcuterie spot; Idol Time Tiki Bar; Lime & Lager, a margarita and beer joint; Stillhouse, a bar sponsored by Tito’s Vodka with cocktails on tap; Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co. and Tap Room; and Good View Bar, which overlooks Legacy Hall’s not-yet-completed outdoor space.

In addition to being a major food venue, Legacy Hall is also slated to become an entertainment venue. The Box Garden is being constructed from reused shipping containers and will feature a 600-square-foot stage and LED screen for live music and events. The Box Garden will also hold the three of the aforementioned bars and Carlton Provisions BBQ.

The majority of the food stalls, the wine bar, Bar Main and a marketplace are located on the first floor. On the second floor, you’ll find additional seating areas, Sea Breeze Lobsta’ & Chowda’ House, and the Good View Bar. The third floor houses Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co., and The Tap Room, a pub serving the brewery’s seasonal craft beer and classic bar eats.

Legacy Hall is now open all day seven days a week. Its hours are 7 am to 11 pm Mondays through Wednesdays, 7 am to midnight Thursdays, 7 am to 1 am Fridays, 9 am to 1 am Saturdays and 9 am to 10 pm Sundays.
