Crazy Cheap Margaritas and Top 50 Barbecue: Dallas BBQ Hotspot Vows to Make Its Birthday Special

One of Dallas’ best barbecue joints, Ten50 BBQ, has two major reasons to celebrate.

The Richardson restaurant recently received an honorable mention in Texas Monthly‘s coveted rankings of the best barbecue spots in Texas, and it is fêting its three-year anniversary on Friday, August 18, with $3 margaritas all day long.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The margarita options on deck — which are normally $10 — include the Mango Margarita (Patron Silver Tequila, Cointreau, mango, basil, Ten50 sweet and sour); Ten50 House Margarita (Sauza Blue Tequila, orange curacao, lime, Ten50 sweet and sour); and the 3 Alarm Margarita (Herradura Silver Tequila, jalapeño, habanero, serrano syrup, Cointreau, Ten50 sweet and sour, a splash of lime).

But, of course, you’re not just going there for the drinks. Ten50’s pit masters think about barbecue nearly 24 hours a day, slow-roasting their premium meats for up to 16 hours — so pile your plate high with prime brisket, pulled pork, St. Louis pork ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage.

For authentic Southern flavor, all meats are cooked atop homemade charcoal made from hickory, oak, pecan, and mesquite. Additionally, every one of the restaurant’s side dishes (five cheese mac, potato salad, brisket baked beans, et al.) and desserts are made from scratch in-house.

Swinging by this Friday for the birthday party? Ten50 is open from 10:50 am (appropriately) to 10 pm; the same timeframe goes for Saturday. If you crave BBQ between Sunday and Thursday, the restaurant is open from 10:50 am to 9 pm.
