What: Barry’s Bootcamp opening party
Where: Dallas’ West Village district
PC Moment: Beautiful athletic types packed the new location of Barry’s Bootcamp (which already boasts nearly 40 studios from Los Angeles and New York City to London and Milan and draws celebs including Carrie Underwood, Victoria Beckham, and Ellie Goulding) to celebrate the cult group-fitness brand’s Dallas debut.
Sipping Texas-themed cocktails, guests mingled in the studio’s main exercise room illuminated with its signature red lights. Barry’s Dallas also includes posh locker rooms and a Fuel Bar, where nutritionist-designed shakes are whipped up to enjoy post-workout.
One Barry’s Bootcamp class fuses about a half-hour of strength training with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), which includes 25 to 30 minutes of interval-based cardiovascular treadmill exercises. The entire session can burn up to 1,000 calories.
Classes cost $32 each, with packages up to $720 for 25 classes. If you really want to splurge, purchase the Dallas Originals 50-pack for $1,360 — it also gets you a bag and T-shirt, invite to all Barry’s launch parties worldwide, 12 VIP guest passes per year, and more.
