12 Texans Join Jennifer Aniston on Exclusive Best Party Hosts List — Including a Dallas Super Host

The Best Power Party Talents in the Lone Star State Revealed

BY // 03.25.19

The accolades come and the accolades go. So it is no surprise that The Salonnière‘s list of the 100 best party hosts in the country is a fluid mix that this year has added a few and subtracted a few so that the number of those applauded for their entertaining talents remains at 100.

The Austin-based blog of all things fabulous in society and entertaining, the brainchild of uber-elegant Austinite Carla McDonald, has released the fourth edition of the annual poll. Social A-listers, philanthropists and event planners from across the country nominated talented party-throwers, who fit McDonald’s criteria of leveraging the power of parties to enhance the lives of others. No superficial canvassing this.

“Social gatherings play a vital role in our lives and communities, whether to connect people, advance ideas, support causes, or promote joyfulness, and those who host them provide a great gift to humanity,” she says in a statement. “The Salonnière 100 is our way of honoring the people in America who are the absolute best at hosting parties with passion and purpose.”

Texans new to the list this year are Austin’s Kirstin and Joe Ross, an IT mogul, and Mary Herr Tally; Fort Worth’s Cami Goff, wife of billionaire real estate investor John Goff, and philanthropist Mercedes Bass; and Ronda Rice Carmen, lifestyle blogger, author and owner of a ranch, near Corpus Christi, where her entertaining talents are highly praised.

Along with Houston’s Becca Cason Thrash, Phoebe Tudor, Sheridan Williams and Lynn Wyatt, Dallasites include Brooke Davenport, Cindy Rachofsky and Nancy Rogers. That brings the total to 12 for the Lone Star State. You could make that 13 if you wanted to count native Houstonian Allison Sarofim, but she lives and entertains most often in New York so that city won her place among the hostesses with the mostest.

To find out which Texans did not make the list this year, you’ll have to check our 2018 report on The Salonnière 100. I’m not talking about it.
