What: Jackson Pollock Exhibition Opening Fête

Where: Dallas Museum of Art

Who: Interim director of the DMA Walter Elcock and wife Laura; DMA’s Hoffman family senior curator of contemporary art and organizing curator Gavin Delahunty; chair Marguerite Hoffman; Bottega Veneta’s Sun An, Brian Janacek; Jennifer Karol, Merry Voss, Jennifer and John Eagle, Douglas Turgeon, Cindy and Howard Rachofsky, Leslie Baumann, Jeannie and Patrick Rice, Cindy and Doug Crocker, Zach Chance, Kim Thwaits, Julie and Chuck Quaid, Jeannie and Patrick Rice, and Gabriel Ritter

PC Moment: World-renowned painter and perhaps one of the most influential artists in the Abstract Expressionist movement, Jackson Pollock has without a doubt made an incredible stamp on the scene — especially during an intense — albeit brief — period when the mastermind created a vast series of black paintings from 1951 to 1953. Jackson Pollock: Blind Spots, recently unveiled by the Dallas Museum of Art, is one of the largest exhibitions of Pollock’s black paintings ever assembled. For the opening night, sponsored by Bottega Veneta, guests packed the museum for an electrically charged celebration. Running through Sunday, March 20, the exhibit is certainly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
