Wednesday October 8, the Society for the Performing Arts hosts their 18^th Annual Fall Luncheon at the Jones Hall Stage, chaired by Christie Sullivan with honorary chair Melissa Mithoff, featuring guest speaker Lauren Bush Lauren of FEED fame . . . Thursday, October 9, 2014 Peckerwood Garden Conservation Foundation hosts Taking Root Luncheon featuring landscape architect Thomas L. Woltz, the mastermind selected to re-invent Memorial Park. On October 10, 19 children and teens, all patients from Texas Children’s Cancer Center experience the thrill of the runway at the 7^th Annual Celebration of Champions Luncheon at River Oaks Country Club. . . Friday evening, guests sip handcrafted cocktails, nibble Cuban-inspired hors d’oeuvres, and dance to live Cuban tunes under the moonlight at the Rothko Chapel Moonrise Party on the Plaza fall fundraiser.
