Dallas’ Top Blogger Makes Her Modeling Debut in a Toasty Good Party: When Max Mara and The Bag Snob Collide

BY // 12.05.18

There could not have been a more perfect night for Max Mara to introduce its collection of fur, cashmere, and wool coats to Dallas.

For the first time this season, temps dipped into the freezing range. The dress code for this dinner party, hosted by Tina Craig, may as well have read, Bundle Up.

Frigid weather aside, guests showed up en masse (Jamie O’Banion, Jan Miller, Nancy Rogers, Lisa Moore, Meghan Looney, Deborah Scott, Suzanne Droese, Krystal Schlegel, and Max Mara’s Judgie Graham, in from New York) to shop, dine, and mix with Maria Giulia Maramotti, Max Mara’s granddaughter and the fashion house’s global brand ambassador.

Dinner was served on the Joule hotel’s rooftop — the glass-box space having been heated for the event. Rolling racks brimmed with Max Mara coats and a few standout evening dresses (our eyes are on a velvet, floor-length slip gown), while display pedestals were topped with delicious fur handbags.

The cozy wares flew off their hangers — especially the oversized Teddy Bear coat, which many guests purchased and changed right into.

Our favorite party moment came during the informal modeling of the collection. That charming Bag Snob, wearing head-to-toe red Max Mara, seized the opportunity to show the models how to strut their stuff. Who knew Craig had a hidden talent for coat modeling?
