What: J.McLaughlin opening night party

Where: J. McLaughlin in Town & Country Village

PC Moment: It was a divine shopping opportunity for guests who joined the PaperCity/J.McLaughlin party with guests scooping up armloads of spiffy clothing and cool accessories, some guests shopping for themselves, others finishing off their Christmas lists. Giving a special welcome to guests were J. McLaughlin’s Jack Lynch in from New York and PaperCity publisher Monica Bickers.

Chief among those picking up goodies at the retailer’s second Houston locale were event chairs George Lancaster, Cathy Echols, Jo Furr, and Matt Vandever. A percentage of those sales was earmarked for Stages Repertory Theatre. Elizabeth Swift‘s Swift Events provided sustenance for the shopping spree. Guests were mesmerized by the artistic talents of Patricia Van Essche, who monogramed hand-painted greeting cards. The Westchester, N.Y., artist was flown in by the retailer specially for the event and she was quite the hit.

Who: Deeann and Marcus Thigpen, Jim Furr, Ericka Koines, Paige Lamb, Brandace Kinder, Gregg Harrison, Dede Raad, Cameron Springer, Clinton Quienberry, Amy Stephens, William Finnorn, Jailyn Marcel, Chris Johnston, Mark Folkes, Lise Bohn, Brandon Weinbrenner, Tayler Malott, and Stuart Rosenberg.
