What: Sixth annual Sweethearts for Sweeney Camp Sweeney bejeweled benefit

Where: de Boulle

PC Moment: The Camp Sweeney fundraiser, originated by board member David Genever-Watling, his longtime friend Denis Boulle, and camp director Dr. Ernie Fernandez, has evolved into a must-attend glittery evening. Committee chairs Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller, Faye and Dan Sheehan, and Tina and Harry Lynch led the anniversary charge, welcoming more than 160 guests to the Boulle family’s beautiful Preston Road store. Joining in hosting duties were family members, who happen to be some of the city’s savviest trendsetters including Emily and Brent Amacker, Bridget and Alexis Barbier-Mueller, Katelyn and Oliver Barbier-Mueller, Megan and Bennett Kohler, Elizabeth Kohler, Cristina Lynch, Peter Lynch, and Niña and Trevor Tollett.

The evening proved the perfect philanthropic excuse to scout new additions for the jewelry trove. Our eyes were on colorful gems from the de Boulle Collection, plus golden beauties by David Webb, and the endless collection of timepieces from Patek Phillipe. And while precious baubles and weighty carats caught much attention, it was the event’s covetable raffle items that garnered beaucoup buzz — from a shopping spree at Elements Boutique courtesy Connie Siegel to a swoon-worthy Rolex, which proved popular among the gentlemen.

Camp Sweeney, founded in 1947 by the Southwestern Diabetic Foundation, is the largest camp in the world designed for children with Type 1 diabetes. Translation? Over the course of seven decades, more than 30,000 campers from 10 countries have attended.

Who: Camp Sweeney execs Ernie Fernandez, Skip Rigsby, Preston Walhood, Will Duhe, Katie Hayman, Kara Knight, Sarah Davis, Kristyn Anderson, and Monica Grove; and Nick BoulleCourtney and Benton Bagot, Christine and Drew Bagot, and Stefanie and Michael Prentiss.
