The French Holiday Candles that Bring the Magic Back
A Must-Have Christmas Gift You Didn’t Know You Needed
By Linden Wilson Jobe //
Home has a uniquely special meaning to everyone. For French perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, it’s five different places that have captured his imagination and still conjure precious memories.
Drawing on inspiration from these homes — his childhood house, grandparents’ apartment, cousins’ countryside home, his family vacation home, and his Parisian apartment — Kurkdjian releases a holiday candle collection this month under his Maison Francis Kurkdjian label.

Rue des Groseilliers features notes of sweet red berries; the honeyed Anouche evokes the fragrance of rose petals and plum jam; La Trouverie features lavender, rosemary, and thyme; a seaside scent is captured in Les Tamaris with hints of acacia and everlasting flowers; and fire and incense meld in Au 17.
Housed in white bisque porcelain jars, each candle ($85) burns up to 55 hours. Shop the MFK candle collection exclusively at Neiman Marcus.
