The Nasher Prize, an international award given annually to a living artist who has had a significant impact on our understanding of sculpture, will culminate with an evening at the Nasher Sculpture Center on April 2, 2016 to bestow the Prize on the inaugural laureate Doris Salcedo. With an award of $100,000 and a commemorative object designed by Renzo Piano, the Nasher Prize is the most significant award in the world dedicated to sculpture and will be celebrated at this event co-chaired by philanthropists Jennifer Eagle and Catherine Marcus Rose. The intimate seated dinner will include the esteemed international Nasher Prize jurors, art world luminaries, collectors and those passionate about furthering the appreciation of contemporary art. Proceeds of Nasher Prize will support the Prize, its programs and publications in future years, as well as the core exhibition, education and programming for the Nasher Sculpture Center.
