Hispanic Nations Celebrated in This 51st Anniversary Gala — and Parade

What: Noche de las Americas Gala.
Where: The Junior League of Houston.
PC Moment: Representatives of various Hispanic countries paraded through the ballroom, during the 51st anniversary gala, bearing the colorful flags of their homelands in the traditional March of Padrinos. The “Discovery and Exploration” gala, benefiting the Institute of Hispanic Culture, was chaired by Karina and Carlos Barbieri.
Festivities for the 200 guests included dinner and dancing to the Latin sounds of Angelucho Copacabana. The night saluted author Rima de Vallbona of Costa Rica.
