Dior’s Skin Tight Thigh-High Boots
By Hannah Swiggard //
Boots seen in the Christian Dior Winter 2015 Catwalk Show are catching buzz for obvious reasons. A magnificent stretch patent-leather and vinyl boot graced the runway in the spring, going nearly unnoticed, while the most recent appearance and the Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 ready-to-wear fashion show led by artistic director Raf Simons has received a great deal of attention. The fetishistic latex boots boast exotic skins, animalistic motifs and camouflage details in daring color combinations, complete with chunky Lucite heels. The kinky boot, in both thigh-high and ankle-foot form, are weird and out there — and that’s exactly why we love them.
We’re betting the new vinyl-heel boot will be major this fall.
Tune in next month to see how PaperCity art director Michelle Aviña styles the blue-and-black camouflage thigh-high boot. For a closer look at Dior’s fall ’15 shoes, click through the gallery.
