A Hot Young Dallas Fashion Designer Makes Graphic Tees That Mean Something
By Rachel Lefferts //
Armed with geometric silhouettes and a black-and-white palette, emerging Dallas–based fashion designer Charles Smith II is gaining attention for his pared-down urban aesthetic.
Smith, who has an ongoing mission to support local youth through his men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, recently launched the S2 Longsleeve. At $39, all proceeds from sales of the graphic shirt fund scholarships for Dallas Independent School District students pursuing creative-arts programs.
In turn, those who purchase the S2 will receive an invitation to the S2 by SMITH II Spring/Summer 2017 runway presentation, dubbed “Do Not Touch,” which will take place on Sunday, October 2, at Dallas Contemporary.
