A Magic Sleep Potion?
A California Skincare Company’s Golden Elixir Brings a High-Tech Twist to Beauty
By India Pougher //
From ancient Egypt to the Middle Ages, women have used botanical oils for skincare, perfume and medicine, all while searching for the next advancement in skin rejuvenation. Known for their aroma-therapeutic properties and ability to create a youthful glow, botanical oils are leading the charge when it comes to all-natural beauty.
California-based skincare company Vintner’s Daughter is joining the growing number of floral-based cosmetic brands with a day-and-night treatment touting 100 percent natural ingredients and multi-correctional capacity, plus a luxurious scent sure to provide a lush sleep elixir.
The plant-based treatment, which took founder April Gargiulo two years to research and formulate, features a beautiful floral aroma that will leave you feeling light and airy — ready to conquer the morning. The delicate scent is a mixture of 22 natural ingredients, including evening primrose oil, rosemary, jasmine, lavender oil and marigold extract that absorb quickly, even when applied for a quick glow on top of makeup. Just a couple of drops of the decadent golden liquid is needed for a moisturizing layer that leaves skin soft and glowing, not shiny.
Even the bottle is high-tech: The dark violet-colored glass filters sunlight and actually activates the formula even further — beyond the beauty lab and on your own vanity.
Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum ($185 for 30 ml), at Forty Five Ten.
