River Oaks District Grows Again
Burger Bar, Boutique and Gastro Lounge Join the Mix
By James Brock //
River Oaks District celebrated its grand opening earlier this month, and the activity has not slowed since. Joining the likes of Cartier, Tom Ford and Dior in the open-air shopping and residential development are the newly announced restaurants Hopdoddy Burger Bar and The Tuck Room, and Baanou – a local boutique that specializes in woman’s clothing and accessories – plus Les Copains, an Italian ready-to-wear fashion house.
“We’ve placed an emphasis on bringing together a collection of brands and restaurants that not only complement River Oaks District but the city as well,” said Colin Moussa, director of marketing for River Oaks District. “We look forward to sharing this special place with guests now that we’re open.”
OliverMcMillan, the development company behind River Oaks District, designed the project with the streets and plazas of Europe in mind, seeking to give visitors and residents a walkable, intelligently designed destination for shopping, dining and entertainment.
Boutiques currently open include Brunello Cucinelli, Canali, Cartier, Chopard, Dior, Etro, Giuseppe Zanotti, INTERMIX, Moncler, Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Vince. Others premiering soon include Anne Fontaine, BONOBOS, COS, Davidoff of Geneva Since 1911, Diptyque, Dolce & Gabbana, Harry Winston, Hermès, iPic Theaters, John Lobb, Kiton, L’Occitane, Patek Philippe at deBoulle, Planet Blue, St. Nicola, Toulouse Café & Bar, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Vilebrequin.
