Not many things can top a fresh-baked pie, especially on National Pie Day. But if baking isn’t your forte, the insane amount of Internet recipes can get a bit (okay, extremely) overwhelming. We were lucky enough to have Houston’s award-winning pastry chef & Dessert Gallery founder Sara Brook swoop in and save the day with one of her favorite at-home pie recipes: Sugarhero‘s Mile High Apple Pie. If the name alone doesn’t make your mouth water, the recipe definitely will. Be sure to peruse Brook’s newly branded website, where she’s dishing out (literally) all sorts of tasty treats.
