Gone are the days of the mundane bank ATM. Soon Houstonians will be able to make an even sweeter withdrawal at Sprinkles Cupcakes‘ long-awaited cupcake ATM. The ninth such location for Sprinkles, the ATM will dispense cupcakes 24/7/365. Translation: You’ll never go a second without access to Sprinkles’ addictive confections. The Highland Village outpost is also set to debut Sprinkles cookies, brownies and even ice cream. Sprinkles founder Candace Nelson reveals, “Once we began shipping our ice cream nationwide, I realized that Texans love their frozen desserts. To date, we have shipped more house-made pints to Texas than any other state.” Handcrafted using organic California dairy and prime ingredients, Sprinkles ice cream mixes classic flavors (vanilla bean, strawberry and coffee) with more daring options, such as salty caramel, Cap’n Crunch and butter pecan studded with caramelized pecan dragées. Sprinkles cupcakes, cookies and brownies can also be added to any frozen treat to create sundaes, shakes and ice cream sandwiches. The Highland Village space will close May 12 through 19 to be retrofitted to accommodate the cupcake ATM, ice cream and cookies. We’ll be first in line for the June 11 launch.
