After a 23-year tenure with Neiman Marcus, Malcolm Reuben, vice president, general manager, Neiman Marcus NorthPark is retiring. He will remain in his role through the holiday season, finishing out his career with the luxury store on December 24, 2017. Reuben and his wife Vinnie plan to return to California to spend time with family, especially their 18-month old grandson.

“The last 23 years with Neiman Marcus have been incomparable. Neiman Marcus is the epitome of luxury retailing and the experience has far surpassed my expectations for my career.  I have enjoyed every minute working with both our incredible customers and the talented Neiman Marcus team,” Reuben says in a statement.

The retail expert has over 43 years of experience working in his field. Before joining the team at Neiman Marcus, he spent 20 years at Bullock’s Department Store, first in various general manager positions and then as director of stores.

He came on as vice president, general manager of Neiman Marcus’ iconic Downtown Dallas flagship store in June 1994. Two years later, he transitioned into the same role at the NorthPark store – one of the retailer’s most productive locations. In 1998, he was named director of stores, Midwest, Florida and Texas. In this senior level position, Reuben looked after Neiman Marcus stores in Dallas, Houston, Chicago, St. Louis and more. However, he missed the energy, customer interaction and hands-on nature of his previous role, and decided to return to Neiman Marcus NorthPark in May 2003.

All in all, Reuben has held the position of vice president, general manager of Neiman’s NorthPark for 17 years.

“Malcolm is a true master of the art of retailing, leading one of our most important stores to success year after year,“ Neva Hall, executive vice president, Neiman Marcus Stores says in a statement.  “He has set an incredibly high bar for his team and for the entire Neiman Marcus Group.  Malcolm’s presence and commitment to excellence will live on in the hearts of our customers and associates alike.”
