We’re tickled pink this week with the arrival of the first eco-friendly, fume-free, and toxin-free nail salon in the city.
Pink Pedi opened its doors Tuesday in Dallas’s up-and-coming Sylvan Thirty district, which is also home to the CiboDivino market, Tacodeli, Ten Ramen, Whisk Crêpes Café, Houndstooth Coffee, and more.
Photographer Brandon Lyon and former fashion designer Lucy Dang (both of whom were honored with Fashion Group International of Dallas’ Rising Star awards in 2015) are opening the salon with environmentally conscious products at top of mind, promising no pungent nail polish fumes during treatments.
Moreover, it’s the first in Dallas to carry Zoya, a nail polish line free of all cancer-causing chemicals. The entire OPI Infinite Shine hybrid polish collection is also exclusively available at Pink Pedi.
Choose from a variety of services including manicures and pedicures, gel manis and pedis, dipping powder nail enhancements, custom nail art, and eyebrow waxing. Pink Pedi also doubles as an apothecary, offering an assortment of house-made products (body butters, bath bombs, medicinal essential oil rollers, organic sugar scrubs) crafted using therapeutic essential oils and natural ingredients.
As Dallas entrepreneurs themselves, Lyon and Dang recognize the importance of showcasing local talent, which is why all furniture pieces in the shop — tables, benches, pedicure tubs, and even signage — are handmade by Dallas artisans.
