A Metal Star Gets Into Artistic Tiles
A Home Renovation Game Changer?
By Rebecca Sherman //
You spoke, they listened. For years, customers had been asking Artistic Tile to match their favorite Michael Aram metal tabletop pieces, but to no avail.
Quality artisan metal tiles were hard to come by, so the New York-based tile and stone distributor eventually went straight to the source: Aram himself. The result? Aram’s first-ever tile collection, Michael Aram for Artistic Tile, which debuted in June.
The collaboration fuses Aram’s naturalistic and forged metal designs with time-honored ceramic tile materials, drawing inspiration from his best-known collections: Molten, Botanical Leaf, and Gotham. Glazed in metallic bronze, silver, or gloss white, the tiles are made in Japan from some of the finest ceramic tile.
The collection is available at select Artistic Tile showrooms, including Dallas. Tiles, $38 to $61 per square foot.
