Chicago Fast Casual Favorite is Set to Open a New Restaurant in Dallas: A Build-Your-Own Menu Awaits

BY Merrit Stahle // 05.24.17

Dallas is no stranger to welcoming restaurants that take pride in serving healthy, nutritious foods. Naturally, we can probably expect one with the slogan, “Food That Loves You Back,” to anticipate success here.

Chicago-based restaurant Roti Modern Mediterranean, which also has outposts in New York, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., is migrating south to open its first Texas location in Uptown this summer.

The fast-casual restaurant features a build-your-own menu. After choosing a sandwich, salad, or rice plate, choose from a variety of Mediterranean toppings, sides, and sauces. Every meal also comes with whole-wheat, house-baked pita.

“We source only the finest ingredients, prepare them simply and with pride, then serve them exactly how you want them,” says Carl Segal, Roti’s CEO.

Among the good-for-you offerings: antibiotic-free chicken, 100-percent grass-fed beef, fresh and sustainable salmon, organic chickpeas, and GMO-free wild and whole-grain rice.

“We want you to craft an eating experience that’s uniquely yours,” Segal says. “Whatever you’re in the mood for, whether it’s char-grilled steak, crispy falafel, or something spicy, we’ll help you curate your perfect meal — ensuring that whichever path you choose, they all lead to delicious.”

When Roti Modern Mediterranean debuts this summer, it will be open Mondays to Fridays, 11 am to 9 pm; and Saturdays and Sundays, 11 am to 8 pm.

Roti Modern Mediterranean, 2355 Olive St., 214.233.0751.
