By Jailyn Marcel //
Every year, Houstonians ready their palates and their pockets for the five-week fund-raiser known as Houston Restaurant Weeks. The list from year to year stays fairly similar, but there’s always a rush to scan the list to see if any new places have joined up. Today marks Reservation Day, which means that the wait is finally over, and the 2015 Restaurant List has been revealed. New participants include Añejo, B&B Butchers & Restaurant, Crisp, Harwood Grill, Karbach Restaurant & Patio, Paul’s Kitchen, Peli Peli in the Galleria, Peska Seafood Culture, Radio Milano, Revival Market and Sud Italia, to name but a few. Restaurants including Americas, Backstreet Cafe, Churrascos, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse and Grille, and Table on Post Oak return from 2014.
Deemed the single largest fund-raiser in the United States benefitting the largest food bank in America (Houston Food Bank), Houston Restaurant Weeks begin August 1 and run for 38 days, concluding September 7. Since its inception in 2003 by founder Cleverley Stone, HRW has raised almost $6 million for the Houston Food Bank, which has helped the organization deliver 18 millions meals to Houstonians in need.
