Cult Gaia To Open First Dallas Store With On-Site Matcha Bar

The matcha crowd is shaking in their kitten-heeled flip-flops!

Cult Gaia, the Cool Girl brand with a cult-like following (as the name suggests), will open its first stand-alone Dallas boutique this November on — where else? — Knox Street.

Dallasites, of course, are already familiar with Cult Gaia’s sculptural pieces and impractical novelty bags (like the Florence Clutch, a marbled acrylic vase of calla lilies that I can’t shut up about). In March 2025, MARKET, the cutting-edge fashion incubator, announced a one-year Cult Gaia pop-up in its Highland Park Village store. More than a year later, consider Cult Gaia incubated!

As with the pop-up space, T__M, the LA-London studio that Tanil Raif and Mario Serrano founded, designed the 2,757-square-foot boutique. The space reflects Cult Gaia’s connection to nature through a contemporary interpretation of organic modernism, according to the press release. The store’s airy arched openings aim to “extend the architectural language established across the brand’s retail environments, creating a sculptural presence in the Knox Street neighborhood.” 

Here’s what we know about the interior:

• Ditch corners; it’s all about CURVES. The boutique will unfold as a “continuous landscape of soft curves” as you move through the interconnected spaces.
• A stone-like material will envelop the entire space — floors, walls, and ceilings — in a “monolithic expression.” Charred timber will serve as the display fixtures for objects. It’s giving drama!
• Juxtaposed smooth minerals v. textured wood reflects Cult Gaia’s balance of refinement and imperfection.

Katy Trail enthusiasts, lend me your ears! The boutique will have an on-site matcha experience to further extend their lifestyle vision for the space.

It seems like Knox Street announces something new and exciting every week. It’s a lot to keep up with! Allow me to catch you up to speed. Here is the (current) lay of the land:

• HART, the charming Charleston-based jewelry brand, officially opens its doors to the public tomorrow, Saturday, August 15, at 10 am! We can’t wait to see the space, designed by Javier Burkle of Burkle Creative.
• Addison Bay, KD BIEL, and ME+EM are all set to open in early fall (September or October). We’ll keep you informed as we hear more specific opening dates.
• Julia Amory will open in mid-November, just in time for holiday shopping. Design darling Mark D. Sikes is designing the space.
• Set to open by the end of the year — The Conservatory, DÔEN, STAUD, SunLife Organics, TOTEME, TWP, The Lora luxury apartments, and, of course, the pièce de résistance, The Knox, Auberge Collection Hotel and Residences.
