What: Girls Just Want To Have Fun Opening Style Show
Where: Junior League of Houston
Who: Creative director of Tootsies Fady Armanious; Junior League of Houston President Shannon Wiesedeppe and President-Elect at Executive Committee Sarah Snyder; Junior League advisory board member Roseann Rogers; fashionable guests Kendra Smith Phillips, Lara Bell, Suzanne Stiles, Amy Dunn, Shannon Buggs, Whitney Walsh, Jennifer Roberts, Anne Sears, and many others.
PC Moment: Tootsies rocked the Junior League of Houston for their annual Opening Style Show with a 1980s flashback theme — “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” Fady Armanious kicked off the luncheon and show with”Fady’s Fall Faves,” in which he presented trends straight from the rack. The high-powered fashion show featured designers like Alice + Olivia, Jay Godfrey, Fallon, and Rachel Zoe.
Guests went home with party bags filled with 80s-inspired favors by Tootsies, Tenenbaum Classic Jewelers, Beauty Counter, Studio 3, and Vanity Salon. One particularly lucky guest walked away with tickets to a Cyndi Lauper concert.
The atmosphere was light-hearted and fresh, and guests enjoyed a delicious lunch. The meal was also a celebration of the Junior League of Houston’s 30th year at the Briar Oaks Lane location.
The tables were draped in fuchsia, white, and black velvet; Armanious said velvet and chokers will be among this season’s hot trends. Junior League President Shannon Wiesendeppe praised the volunteers’ time and effort that went into planning the annual Opening Style Show.
